SUPPORTING OUR PEOPLE EVERY STEP OF THE WAY

At Footsteps Care Group, we believe that our greatest strength is our people. Every member of staff plays an important role in delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care, and our Human Resources (HR) team is committed to supporting you throughout every stage of your employment. Whether you are joining the organisation for the first time, developing your career, changing roles, or simply need advice or guidance, we are here to help.

The HR department is much more than recruitment and contracts. Our role is to ensure that every employee feels supported, valued, and treated fairly while helping to create a positive, respectful, and inclusive working environment where everyone can thrive. We understand that every employee's journey is different, and we aim to provide a professional, approachable, and confidential service whenever it is needed. Our door is always open, and no question or concern is too small.

From the moment you apply to join Footsteps Care Group, the HR team works behind the scenes to make your journey as smooth as possible. We manage recruitment, safer recruitment checks, pre-employment compliance, right to work checks, DBS applications, sponsorship processes, contracts of employment, inductions, and onboarding. Our aim is to ensure that every new colleague receives the support, training, and information they need to feel confident and prepared from their very first day with us.

Throughout your employment, HR continues to provide support across a wide range of areas. Whether you have questions about annual leave, family leave, flexible working, attendance, probation, promotions, sponsorship, contracts, pay queries, training opportunities, or company policies, we are always happy to help. Employment legislation and workplace procedures can sometimes be difficult to navigate, so we are here to provide clear advice, guidance, and reassurance whenever you need it.

Our team also works closely with managers and employees to ensure that workplace issues are dealt with fairly, consistently, and professionally. Where concerns arise, we provide guidance throughout investigations, disciplinary and grievance procedures, capability processes, and performance management. We appreciate that these situations can be difficult for everyone involved, so our priority is always to ensure that every individual is treated with dignity, respect, and impartiality while following company policies and employment legislation.

One of the most important parts of our role is supporting the wellbeing of our employees. We recognise that life outside of work can sometimes be challenging, and personal circumstances can have an impact on health, wellbeing, and performance at work. Whether you are experiencing difficulties in your personal life, facing challenges at work, or simply need someone to point you in the right direction, the HR team is here to listen and offer support wherever we can. Sometimes all it takes is a conversation, and we encourage staff to speak to us early if they need advice or assistance.
